“Know therefore that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His faithfulness to a thousand generations for those who love Him and keep His commandments.” Deuteronomy 7: 9 Meditate or Reflect
Faithfulness is an unswerving devotion to one’s word, promise, or vow; it is certainty, it is a firm conviction. In relationship to a known and invisible God, faithfulness is one’s surrender to God and conduct that is inspired by such surrender. God is always faithful in His promises to us. There is so much beauty in the verse from Deuteronomy beginning with “knowing.” Know that God is God and He is your Lord. Faith on our part begins with the deep knowing that God is Lord over all, and He is faithful to His followers. And these verses also show us what faith in God looks like for our daily living: “Love God and keep His commandments.” Our acts of faith to God are to love Him and to be obedient to Him. Reflect on the faithfulness of God. Take a breath, and focus on the deep knowing in your soul that the Lord your God is God. Consider the ways He has been faithful to you. Comments are closed.
